Apple may be giving Siri a complete revamp that could potentially help it compete with ChatGPT.
New renderings from Bloomberg show that Apple will be giving Siri a complete makeover, which includes a dedicated Siri app.
In the renderings, the Siri app’s interface draws resemblance to other chatbots such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Bloomberg created the renderings based on the intel it received, and they are not actual leaked images from Apple. While it isn’t confirmed, MacWorld predicts the app will be revealed with the upcoming iOS 27 update on June 8 at Apple’s WWDC 2026 keynote.
Siri will be available as a pill-shaped Dynamic Island that stays pinned in an iPhone’s top section, where users can select to get live news updates, according to a report by TechCrunch. MacWorld also expects Siri to be available in the camera app, allowing online picture search, similar to Google Lens. Furthermore, Siri will incorporate Google Gemini for additional artificial intelligence support.

It features a deeply-integrated Dynamic Island UI, which can pull from on-device knowledge to get things done.
There will also be a standalone Siri app where users can continue their conversations.

This widely anticipated Siri update could drastically alter the AI chatbot market. The AI software has always lacked in capability compared to other chatbots, but the Google Gemini integration could make it more comprehensive. The advantage Apple has with the new app is that it already has a multi-million iPhone user base that will have direct access, compared to companies like Claude and OpenAI, which don’t manufacture phones.
Apple AI Agents Soon To Come?
Apple’s revamped Siri and a dedicated chatbot app raise the question of whether Apple plans on creating its own AI software in the near future.
