Ayesha and Stephen Curry have several hospitality ventures underway.

The cafe aligns with the interests of both Ayesha and Steph, who were raised in Charlotte and met in high school, per People. Ayesha went on to host “Ayesha’s Homemade” and “Ayesha’s Home Kitchen” on the Food Network and is also a cookbook author. She previously opened a Sweet July Cafe in Santa Monica, CA, in May, according to Axios.
In 2025, Stephen launched The Eighth Rule in partnership with The MINA Group in San Francisco. As AFROTECH™ previously reported, the bourbon-forward bar marked the NBA star’s first hospitality venture and saw him collaborate with Michael Mina, a Michelin-starred restaurateur and chef.
More Restaurants On The Way
The Eighth Rule will also be expanding to Charlotte’s Ritz-Carlton Hotel.
“The Eighth Rule has always been about creating an experience that brings people together for community and conversation, while enjoying elevated food and drink offerings,” Stephen Curry said in a press release, according to Bleacher Report. “Expanding to Charlotte is especially exciting because it’s a city that not only holds a special place in mine and my family’s heart, but it’s filled with incredible energy and culture. With The Eighth Rule Charlotte, we’re building on the foundation of the bourbon tradition while encouraging guests to create their own ‘eighth rule,’ their own way to celebrate and enjoy the moment. We can’t wait to welcome people into the space and become part of the Charlotte community.”
The last venture set to open in the Ritz-Carlton is Bourbon Steak, according to Bleacher Report.
The restaurants will also be opening in partnership with Chef Mina.
