Beyoncé has secured full ownership of her whiskey brand.
As AFROTECH™ previously reported, the “MORNING DEW (DONK)” artist launched SirDavis with Moët Hennessy in 2024. The whiskey features a “bespoke recipe” influenced by Japan and Scotland and had been in the works for years. She described it as fate, given her family ties.
“I’ve always been drawn to the power and confidence I feel when drinking quality whisky and wanted to invite more people to experience that feeling,” Beyoncé said in a press release. “When I discovered that my great-grandfather had been a moonshine man, it felt like my love for whisky was fated. SirDavis is a way for me to pay homage to him, uniting us through a new shared legacy.”
She continued, “In partnering with Moët Hennessy, we have crafted a delicious American whisky that respects tradition but also empowers people to experience something new and unique in the category. You can taste it better than I could ever tell you — welcome, SirDavis.”

SirDavis initially launched in the U.S., the United Kingdom, and select airports, per Global Drinks Intel. Moët Hennessy expanded the whiskey brand to Asia’s global travel retail channel in 2025, according to a separate article from Global Drinks Intel. The luxury wine and spirits division of LVMH also reported a 5% revenue increase in its Q2 2026 report, achieving revenue growth for two consecutive quarters, a feat last accomplished in 2023.
Moët Hennessy has now sold its stake in SirDavis to Beyoncé, making SirDavis a “woman, family and Black-owned company,” as confirmed by a SirDavis spokesperson, per Global Drinks Intel.
The financial details of the deal have not been disclosed.
“SirDavis starts its new independent chapter, after a nearly four-year transformative collaboration through creation, development and launch. Knowles-Carter… takes full ownership and control… She builds on the tradition of creating and running her companies, built from the ground up,” the SirDavis spokesperson said, according to the outlet.
