IShowSpeed is expanding.

As AFROTECH™ previously reported, IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr., is a prominent content creator who became a millionaire at 16 years old. He started on YouTube uploading “NBA 2K” and “Fortnite” content before expanding into soccer, working with players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Forbes reports. He has also become known for content exploring different parts of the world, including Africa, visiting countries including Algeria, Egypt, and Zambia. He went on to surpass 50 million subscribers during his time in Africa.

IShowSpeed has landed brand deals with Dick’s Sporting Goods, Beats by Dre, and Doritos. He is also among Forbes’ Top Creators for 2026, with an estimated $30 million in earnings.

He most recently partnered with FIFA for the World Cup and even performed at the tournament’s closing ceremony.

“Four years ago, I was in my mom’s house, screaming, barking, “Siuuu!” Cristiano Ronaldo! Siuuu!” Lighting my house on fire. A kid from Ohio … just doing anything, and I just performed at the World Cup final. So, you know what that means, bro. You can do whatever you want, chat. Just believe, chat,” he said in a YouTube video.

As for what’s next for the streamer, it’s ownership. He recently purchased a 26,600-square-foot warehouse for close to $11 million, according to The Real Deal. The warehouse, which is located on a 1.8-acre lot near Miami’s West Little River, is expected to serve as a content creation studio.

You’ve probably already seen the success of creators having their own studios, including MrBeast, who has more than 640 million subscribers and earned $300 million, which placed him at the top of Forbes’ Top Earner Creators list this year.

The top creator purchased the $14 million warehouse studio to film and edit his content in North Carolina.

It’s unclear exactly how IShowSpeed’s content studio will be used, but the purchase signals an expansion of his content operation.
