Kevin Hart has revealed the secret to his wealth.
The comedian has proven he knows how to build an entertainment empire, as evidenced by sold-out comedy shows, more than 273 million social media followers, and $4.23 billion in box office revenue generated by his films, according to The Kennedy Center.
In a given year, his success has led him to make more than $50 million, he shared in an interview with the School of Hard Knockz.
“We’ve had some great years. You gotta remember, it’s compounding, whether it’s standup, whether it’s movies, TV,” he said.
Hart also shared precautions to those figures, adding, “Making the money one time, easy. Keeping the money after you made it, hard. Making it again, harder. Finding partners that can do the same sh-t, almost impossible.”
When asked what the key to turning attention into revenue is, he said, “Not to try to own 100% of nothing. Everybody wants to own 100% of nothing. Chop that pie up. Billionaires, multi-millionaires are not afraid to do business with others that do smart business,” he said.

Hart’s Business Ventures
Hart understands that success means bringing others into the fold to participate in the venture. In his own career, he has forged partnerships, including through Gran Coramino, a tequila brand founded alongside 11th-generation tequila maker Juan Domingo Beckmann. As AFROTECH™ previously reported, the business has generated $200 million in total retail sales.
The comedian is also a founding partner in VitaHustle, a nutritional wellness brand, and Hartfelt, a dog food company, according to a press release. Hart’s industry partnerships include Qatar Airways, Fabletics, Netflix, NBCUniversal, JPMorganChase, DraftKings, Verizon, SharkNinja and C4 Energy.
He also launched his own media company, Hartbeat, in 2009 alongside Leland Wigington, which was formerly known as Hartbeat Productions.
Hart also has a venture capital firm, Hartbeat Ventures, which participated in a $10 million oversubscribed financing round from Bluecore Energy, the first Black-owned nuclear company, as AFROTECH™ previously reported in July.
Hart’s net worth sits at $39 million, according to Forbes.
